HMRC old bank accounts are closing
During 2009 HM Revenue & Customs moved its banking services and the bank sort codes and account numbers therefore changed during 2009. Although HM Revenue & Customs temporarily continued to accept payments made using the old Bank of England account details, this will change during 2010 when the old accounts will be closed.
You should therefore ensure that your payments are set up to go to the new HM Revenue & Customs accounts now if you have not already done so.
